Off-piste adventures are also very popular in Sölden. More than 70 kilometres of off-piste options await free-riders whether on skis or a board. There are designated free-ride areas on the Giggijoch and the Gaislachkogel, offering powder runs for beginners and the more advanced. Many runs start from the prepared slopes and are therefore easy to reach. But despite all the free-ride fun, safety first! Only those who are familiar with the current snow conditions, have the appropriate safety equipment with them and can use it in an emergency should go off-piste.
