Glacier skiing

Even more fun on skis

Glacier skiing brings you that little bit closer to heaven. The glacier ski area in Sölden stretches from an altitude of 2675 metres up to 3250 metres. Thanks to the guaranteed snow at this altitude and the perfect preparation of the slopes, the ski season in Sölden starts as early as September.

Glacier skiing in Sölden

Snow sure from autumn until spring

Explore two glaciers in one go on you skiing holiday in Sölden. The Rettenbach glacier offers you challenging descents. These include the World Cup slope, which is popular with fans of the ski sport and has, at its steepest, a gradient of 65%. Leisurely skiers and beginners, on the other hand, will feel more at home on the Tiefenbach glacier with its more gentle terrain and wide slopes. Thanks to a ski tunnel, you can easily ski back and forth between the two glaciers. When the rest of the ski area opens in mid-November, the glacier can be easily reached by cable car.
