Hotel Hochsölden has a very special personality and character of its own, coined by the unique hosts. Christiane and Uwe have been managing this hotel in Sölden for many years with lots of love and passion. At Hotel Hochsölden, you will feel just like home – and better – thanks to the warm and welcoming atmosphere and accommodating service.
Hotel Hochsölden is the first hotel in Hochsölden. Serafin Gurschler, Christiane Gurschler’s grandfather, was a pioneer in tourism in the Ötztal Valley; he welcomed the first guests at his hotel as early as in 1934. Then, the only road leading to the hotel was a steep trail used to transport hay and wood. The first lift from Sölden to Hochsölden started operating in 1948, bringing more and more guests to Hotel Hochsölden.
Christiane – as well as her siblings Caroline, Herbert and Michael – are naturally born hosts; they have learnt and lived the art of Tyrolean hospitality ever since they were little children. Premium quality and heartfelt hospitality are a given at this hotel in Sölden; the wellbeing of family, friends and guests is the utmost priority for Christiane and her husband Uwe.
